July in Transition

REP meeting, Wednesday 8 July, 7pm at RISC

Reading Energy Pioneers in conjunction with Wokingham Borough Energy Pioneers have won a substantial grant from the Urban Communities Energy Fund to help set up community solar pv projects in our area. These will be funded by community share offers and loans. These will focus on community buildings, schools and charity buildings and help these organisations to reduce their energy costs. Once the feed in tariff scheme ends these organisations will benefit from free electricity from their panels. Further any surplus income will be used to promote similar projects and to assist local charities.

If you would like to be involved we have a meeting on Wednesday evening at 7:00pm on 8th July at RISC.

Transition Town Reading Meeting: **Tuesday** 14 July, 7:30pm at Great Expectations Pub.

Our regular monthly meetings are now on the second Tuesday of the month. Come along and discuss all things Transition Town Reading over a pint of beer or cup of tea. You can help to plan the future direction of TTR, including funding, communications, the website and thinking about what we should focus on next. There will also be updates on and next steps about ongoing and new projects. If you have new ideas for projects, this is a great opportunity to bounce them off other interested people, get feedback and support.
